This project gave me a clearer look at how businesses and consumers actually buy Wine, Liquor, and Beer across different channels, and how each category behaves when you zoom out over multiple years. Delving into the data helped me connect real shopper patterns with the broader trends shaping the alcohol industry, and it made me think differently about how consumers move through the category and how the supply chain responds to that demand.
I found a dataset where I was able to analyze sales from the Retail and Warehouse channels from 2017-2020 for Wine, Liquor, and Beer sales. The insights were inspiring and this was a great project to work on to be able to differentiate between the three major categories. I was able to enhance my skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and used SQL for the heavy lifting, essentially creating a pipeline so I could access the data because of the numerous errors that occurred after I downloaded the dataset from Kaggle.
